Mesa Verde Elementary School Staff will build a team to run and cheer at the 2013 Arizona Distance Classic to raise funds as a "thank you" to the Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Foundation. To assist their efforts ADC will donate $5 directly to the foundation for every member of the Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Foundation team that registers for any ADC distance event. (Registrants need only to select the Mesa Verde Christina-Taylor Green Foundation team when completing the online registration form to participate.) Christina-Taylor Green was the vivacious and loving nine-year-old child who lost her life abruptly in the violence that occurred on January 8th, 2011, in Tucson, Arizona. The shots fired resulted in the wounding of 13 people and the deaths of six, including Christina-Taylor Green. CTGMF was founded by Christina-Taylor’s parents to continue her hopes and dreams of the future which included helping those less fortunate than herself. CTGMF aims to make the community as good as Christina-Taylor imagined it by helping local children who are in need. Learn more about CTGMF’s grants, opportunities and accomplishments here.
