The Arizona Distance Classic, described as the most scenic Arizona race event of the year, takes place just north of Tucson in Oro Valley. It is a boutique event drawing walkers, runners and wheelchair racers locally and from around the country. Celebrates its 15th anniversary on March 15, 2020.
The 2019 Arizona Distance Classic event, which will start at the gorgeous campus of Ventana Medical Systems, will feature five events: the Arizona Distance Classic Half Marathon (13.1 miles); the Arizona Distance Classic Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles); the popular 5K (3.1 miles), and the Oro Valley Parks & Recreation Kids Fun Run.
The Arizona Distance Classic was founded in 2004.
